The progress is happening more slowly these days between broken pickup trucks and garden tractors and pictures that don't want to come together for me

This week I am working on a series of equine pictures that push the color intensity as much as I can.

Here are some process photos of the picture I've been working on this month. It's a larger size than I'm used working on, four feet by two feet. I've been working on a series of pictures where I push the color intensity a bit. I could keep adjusting this one, but I think I'm going to start a new picture this week. I have a smaller canvas for a study. I  will post it next.

I'm back from visiting family in Pennsylvania and finally am getting back to picture making. Here is a view of one of the largest paintings I've attempted this year. It is 40" x 30."  I am going to work on values for another day before I start laying in the major color.

I started the portrait of a team of draft horses on alkyd primed Belgian linen canvas, 40" x 30."

This is a big picture for me, time to get out all of the big brushes.

Working on my Bigguns picture today. The painting process is taking longer than I anticipated. I want to get the detail right I guess. Not sure if I'm messing it up or improving it, but I do love their expressions and the emotion of the picture.

I've been drawing a lot but have been forgetting to post them here. This one is from an internet photo. I am developing a series of Andalusians and Spanish equine pictures. I wish I knew some owners of some that were nearby.
