Here's the latest version of the draft horse portrait

I am trying to resolve the light values on the front of his face

Lightening them and bringing his muzzle forward without making them chalky

Here's the latest drawing for the Magnificent Beasts series. I am finding tons of inspiration with these super athletes. I've been a bit burnt out on painting. I am not sure why, maybe it's because I am still working away from my permanent studio. Hopefully the spark will come back soon.

Thinking about my next set of equine paintings today. I bought a tablet of Strathmore drawing paper. I am going to work a bit in pencil and try and fill it up in the next few weeks. Winter blahs are setting in. I am looking forward to getting outside soon.
